Job Overview:

The Financial Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for managing contract strategies and supporting the delivery of start-up contracting activities for selected sponsors and complex studies or multi-protocol programs. This role includes the preparation negotiation and management of site agreements and preparing budget grids ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project goals. The Manager provides leadership in contracting processes collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and drives efficiency and quality in site activation activities.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing budget grids, estimates contracting strategies and coordination of grants to support proposal development.
• Prepare and maintain contract templates budgeting systems processes and training materials tailored to selected sponsors and complex studies.
• Oversee the preparation review negotiation and management of site regulatory documentation and clinical trial agreements with sponsors and sites.
• Monitor contracting performance metrics ensuring compliance with project timelines financial targets and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with sponsors stakeholders and regional Site Activation (RSU) teams to successfully deliver project scopes in accordance with sponsor requirements and RSU Management Plans.
• Provide expert legal operational and financial contracting support to study teams to facilitate efficient clinical trial initiation and maintenance.
• Build strong long-standing relationships with preferred clients/customers ensuring satisfaction and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Assess and review the contracting landscape to contribute insights and intelligence for assigned studies and broader organizational needs.
• Ensure contracting efficiency and adherence to quality standards by implementing effective processes and systems.
• Report on contracting performance metrics and identify out-of-scope activities implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Lead the development and review of technical scientific and administrative documentation to support study initiation and business development.
• Work with Quality Management to maintain appropriate contract management and quality standards.
• Mentor and coach colleagues delivering training materials and providing technical guidance for contracting processes.
• Take a lead role in developing strategies to foster client engagement and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Deliver presentations to clients and professional bodies to represent the organization’s expertise in contract management and site activation.
• Serve as a liaison for non-specific projects with top clients/customers ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant sponsor or clinical research organization clinical site contracting experience including demonstrable experience acting as an international contract expert.
• Extensive experience in site activation contract management and regulatory compliance.
• Proven expertise in negotiating and managing clinical trial agreements and investigator grants.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
• Proficiency in contracting systems and tools.
