About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join us at Jumeirah Capri Palace. The role holds the position of number two within the finance department and will report directly to the Director of Finance. The primary responsibilities are outlined below, but may extend beyond these parameters:

Key responsibilities :

  • Managing accounts staff to ensure that the functions of accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and purchasing are accurately and efficiently operated.

  • Ensuring contracts are reviewed and monitored regularly.

  • Reviewing month end balance sheet reconciliations and follow up all reconciling items in a timely manner for our properties.

  • Assisting the Director of Finance in preparation of annual Budget and monitor and report on progress, including action plans required to meet budget.

  • Liaising with external auditors and JI with preparation of financial information for income tax return.

  • Ensuring adequate internal control procedures are in place to ensure corporate policies are adhered to and to complete a review twice per annum.

  • Liaising with Human Resources and conduct interviews for staff replacements with Finance Director.

  • Ensuring department’s operational budget is strictly adhered to and that costs are controlled, and expenditure approved.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)

  • Previous experience in a related role within hotel context

  • Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Advanced Excel models and PowerPoint presentation skills)

  • ERP competencies (preferably Oracle Fusion and EPM) – Practical experience including master data management

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills
