Finance Director

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Salary: Up to A‚¬150,000 + bonus

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the Amsterdam office

Languages: Fluent English required, Dutch is a plus

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing European hospitality business in a senior finance leadership role with exposure to operations, investment, and expansion across multiple countries.

As Finance Director, you will be the most senior finance professional in the business, partnering closely with the CEO, leadership team, and investment partners. This is a broad role that combines strategic financial leadership with a hands-on approach in a scaling hospitality company.

What you need for this role

* Strong finance background, ideally with Big 4 training (Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG) or a similar accounting foundation.
* Experience within a small to mid-sized hotel portfolio.
* European finance experience, including markets outside the Netherlands.
* Based in the Netherlands and able to commute to Amsterdam three days per week.
* EU passport or unrestricted right to work in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the finance function across the management company and hotel portfolio.
* Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and performance analysis.
* Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and external investors.
* Oversee outsourced accounting, compliance, and technical finance functions.
* Support hotel openings, acquisitions, refurbishments, and growth projects across Europe.
* Drive financial governance, reporting improvements, and operational efficiencies.
* Lead and develop a small finance team while managing key external stakeholders.

About You

* 10+ years’ experience in finance within hospitality.
* Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
* Experience working across multiple European entities and currencies.
* Commercially minded with the ability to operate strategically and hands-on.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with investors or ownership groups.
