Abbott’s Financial Professional Development Program (FPDP) prepares college graduates with majors in accounting and finance for financial management roles. The goal of the program is to identify and develop Abbott’s future global financial leaders. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem solving abilities.

Each FPDP member spends two years in the program, during which time you can expect to complete approximately four separate professional work assignments within roles such as:

  • Financial Analysis

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Reporting & Controls

The rotations are carried out in a variety of work environments such as: corporate and division headquarters, manufacturing plants and other operating environments including opportunities for overseas rotations. A senior financial leader is assigned to each FPDP to mentor and advise you while on the program.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity

  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office- Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong academic record

  • Prior internship in finance or accounting

  • On-campus leadership positions

Unrestricted authorization to work in at least one of the following countries: EU, USA, China, India, Singapore Brazil, Columbia or Costa Rica.

This rotational program starts in July 2024.
