Role Overview

As our Finance Business Partner, you’ll report to the Head of Commercial Finance. The Finance Business Partner will form part of the Cromwell Hospital Finance & Commercial team which sits within the Bupa UK Commercial & Finance.

This is a fantastic development role where you’ll get to understand the inner workings of the hospital. Your actions will directly improve patient care and outcomes. Here you’ll be responsible for Business Partnering several operational hospital departments, producing the 3-year plan for those departments; providing monthly analysis on divergence to plan; and the provision of information and analysis to support decision making and drive corrective action.

What you’ll do:

  • Building relationships with the heads of department and providing support in monitoring and understanding departmental spend and forecast performance against plan and recent trends.
  • Ensuring the heads of department understand and can explain their monthly results.
  • Delivering appropriate challenge on spend / decisions.
  • Provision of information and analysis to drive corrective action where relevant.
  • Responding to queries and identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and reporting.
  • Building the financial case for capital investment requests of the departments.
  • Produce ad hoc financial analysis and business intelligence to support decision making for the departments and drive the profitability of the Hospital.
  • Actively participate in Cromwell Finance team meetings and events, along with broader hospital events, sharing ideas and helping to make the Cromwell a great place to work.

What you’ll bring:

  • Part-qualified in a recognised Accountancy Qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
  • Financial Analysis skills and ideally from a FP&A background.
  • Experience in assisting with business cases, investment appraisals and modelling is desirable.
  • An understanding of key business drivers and of hospital operations, along with Health Care experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Highly competent in Excel and Power Point.
