This position is based in Istanbul, Türkiye and directly reports to Senior Director, Finance and Operations.
 

The position
As Finance & Business Insights Director, your main responsibilities will be financial management and sales forecasting based on market analysis to ensure continuously improved business information and decision making, as well as business partnering with both affiliates and Business Area management. This includes leading and coaching a team of 4 direct and 5 indirect (Global Business Services) persons within a broad area of functional responsibilities, such as FP&A, Treasury and Business Insights. 
 

You will be also:

-Setting the strategic direction for the Finance and Business Insight function across the business area, 
-Working as a sparring partner to senior management with regards to finding/utilizing opportunities, 
-Driving business cases, mitigating business risks, and ensuring the house is in order.  
-Driving and developing FP&A, Treasury and Business Insights functions across the Business Area affiliates.
 
Qualifications

-You are expected to hold bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics/finance, preferably a master’s degree in a relevant field, with around 7 years of proven experience within sales analysis, FP&A, and/or management consulting in Healthcare/Life Sciences. It is an advantage if you have experience from working in a multi-country setting, people management, and with senior level stakeholder management experience.
-You are expected to have an excellent command over both written and spoken English.
-You have strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, can provide recommendations despite uncertainty and pressure, and are able to handle and simplify complexity while focusing on the bigger picture
-You have strong analytical capability, an ability to synthesize insights and you enjoy diving into data and eagerness to influence the organization to move forward. 
-You are expected to have advanced MS Office applications skills, good insight into visualisation tools, and be able digital tools for data analysis
-You have strong business drive with customer centricity, financial, business acumen and commercial mindset 
-You are a team player, but at the same time possess independent drive, and have a can-do mindset
-Proven success in strong leadership and interpersonal skills and a structured and transparent way of working
 
About the department
BAMEAC (Business Area Middle East, Africa & CIS), consists of 73 countries with 1,000 colleagues dedicated to Changing Diabetes, Changing Obesity, Changing Possibilities in Haemophilia and to make a difference in the other chronic diseases we help treat. The business area office is in Istanbul.

BAMEAC Finance & Operations department consists of Finance, Business Insights, Accounting & Tax Center of Excellence, Supply Chain, Procurement and Digital, Data & IT functions. We focus on identifying business opportunities, ensuring alignment between strategy and financial resource allocation, maintaining continuous information flow about the business, process excellence, and high compliance levels. We at Finance & Operations are business partners who work closely with affiliates creating a real and active partnership with the line of business and management. Our role is to provide proactively and ‘real-time’ support and analysis and to be a trusted adviser to senior management in strategic decision-making.
