**INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY**Research and Enterprise OfficeWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Post-Award team within the Research and Enterprise office, to provide financial and administrative support to the University’s research activities.Duties of the RoleYou will provide guidance, advice and support to academic departments on the post-award financial administration of research awards; prepare claims and invoices; set up new research projects on the Finance System; and resolve problems and queries raised by academic staff in relation to their projects.A full list of duties can be found within the jobpack attached.Whilst this is a full-time post, part-time working 0.8 FTE (28.8 hours per week) and job share arrangements will be considered.Qualifications and Skills requiredThe successful candidate will be highly numerate and have experience of financial systems and budgetary control; excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy, whilst managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.At the University of Essex, internationalism and diversity is central to who we are and what we do.
