We are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Analyst to join our global business head quartered in the United Kingdom. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. The role will play a pivotal role in leading the control functions for our UK operation as well as supporting the FC and CFO in finance transformation to align with Eaton policies and controls.

What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for reviewing the Group’s accounting activities to ensure compliance with Internal controls and external prudential regulations for all regions. The primary duties include analysis of financial data, management of financial risk, audit lead, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Coordinate with regional finance teams to consolidate financial results for group reporting.

  • Analytical review and analysis of financial results, monthly trend reports and review of balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Group Consolidation: Monthly group consolidation and elimination of intercompany margins and profit.

  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain a Finance Risks and controls matrix with robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regional regulatory framework requirements.

  • Treasury Management: Coordinate with the centralised treasury team Review and reconcile cash and interest movements

  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all UK tax regulations and reporting requirements, including VAT and corporate tax filings.

  • Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with Eaton policy and operational efficiency. Support the business’ global automation strategy by Identifying opportunities for Finance automation and technology adoption to streamline financial operations in preparation for full systems integration with Eaton.

  • Stakeholder Management: key liaison between finance, executive leadership, and external stakeholders, internal and external auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (not essential)

• Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Experience of monthly reporting and balance sheet reconciliation a must.

Skills:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified. (Part Qualified or Qualified)

• Strong knowledge of internal controls and regulatory framework.

• Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms (experience of SAGE 200 is an advantage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
