    We offer an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team to co-ordinate and complete month-end and year-end processes, work with Functional heads to achieve their financial targets, support the Belfast site governance processes, and support and liaise with Finance Leadership teams in Belfast and Wichita, as required, on controlling and financial planning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform period-end activities to ensure proper classification and validity of financials, including manual journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Prepare management reporting for relevant process specialty.

  • Ensure standardisation of processes and reports across sites and business units.

  • Ensure data accuracy in general ledger and sub-ledgers by performing various controls, including reconciliations between ledgers.

  • Own the procedures and methodology of relevant process specialty. Ensure calculations and methodologies are standardised across sites and definitions are comparable.

  • Provide preliminary comments regarding actuals and identify variances against budget and forecast.

  • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of activities and transactions.

  • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate historical data, ensuring standardisation of templates across sites and business units, and monitoring and evaluating business performance against targets.

  • Analyse financial reporting and flow down to operational teams to explain performance and understand key drivers.

  • Participate in operational meetings and day-to-day site management in order to help quickly identify risks and opportunities and drive financial performance.

  • Support process improvement, process optimisation and special projects.

  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Qualified membership of a recognised CAAB accountancy body.

In addition, candidates must possess and be able to demonstrate:

  • A solid understanding of the systems used in Finance

  • Strong organisational and planning skills

  • Significant technical accounting knowledge

  • Ability to deal with senior personnel

  • Strong Finance/IT systems experience
