Our 113,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Position: Field Technical Engineer Electrophysiology – Tenerife (2nd option: Gran Canaria)MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLEReporting to Regional Sales Manager, the FTE will provide primary technical support to physicians and nurses during Electrophysiology procedures using Abbott equipment over the assigned territory.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESProvide primary technical support to physicians and nurses during Electrophysiology procedures using Abbott equipment over the assigned territorySupport EP strategy and its execution, by supporting all activities related to the promotion of EP products, including internal and external educational programs, customer clinical training and other Abbott eventsIdentify additional opportunities with existing customers Respond to technical questions that might be raised by customer personnelMaintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new Abbott products, therapies and technologies as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare marketMaintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, including clinical studies, to consistently support Abbott’s product advantagesProvide support and guidance to newly recruited FTE Understand how Abbott’s product portfolio compares to competition, to be able to offer an Abbott’s solution to customer in as many situations as possibleProactively communicate to the Sales and Marketing organization relevant information that can pertain to: the account, the physicians, product preferences, procedural preference, etc.Network with technical engineering specialists within EMEA to ensure sharing of best practice and technical insights in a way that builds personal expertise, and adds scientific and viable value to Abbott

Encourage coaching and responds productively to feedback from EP Product Specialist Manager, colleagues, Regional Manager, Sales Manager and other functional specialists as appropriateCheck that products are in stock according to relevant Abbott’s policies in place Follow all local, regional and global corporate policies with respect to expense reporting, travel booking, etc.The position requires a 40% travel.REQUIREMENTS:B.S degree preferably in Sciences/BS in (Medical) EngineeringProven track record in Electrophysiology or Cadiovascular in a similar position supported by management and customer references.Fluent in English on top of mother tongue (when not English)Specific knowledge that would constitute a plus for the role (not mandatory):Knowledge of the local healthcare marketIn-depth experience in a EP technical role, ideally 3 yearsFamiliarity with Cath lab and operating room procedures and protocolStrong Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology knowledgeFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
