Field Service Representative

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for our Italian customers with a specific focus on North East and Centre Italy. 

This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, Membrane BioReactor and ultrafiltration (UF) in wastewater applications. 

To be successful in this profession, you’ll need to have excellent mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Main Activities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain a variety of water treatment equipment;
• Conduct chemical analysis on field turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, COD, Nitrogen (N-NO2 ;N-NO3; NH3) O2, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements);
• Verify and control biological process (e.g. Activated Sludge, MBR…);

Verify and control chemical process (e.g. Chemical Physical pretreatment, Ultrafiltration, Dewatering, EDR);

• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts;
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment;
• Create and maintain site paperwork, weekly, monthly reports and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed;
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications;
• On call support as needed for ongoing site operations;
• Strong performance around Environmental, Health and Safety a must.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree on Environmental Engineering or equivalent professional experience;
• Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed;
• Good knowledge of English;
• Ability to read drawings of mechanical and electrical diagrams;
• Knowledge of the operation of motors and electrical machines;
• Good communication skills.
