IOM in Poland implements projects aimed at the private sector to promote ethical recruitment, respect for the rights of migrants and migrant women as well as the elimination of forced labour from value chains and the prevention of human trafficking.Context:Under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer in Rzeszow, Poland and technical supervision of the LMSI Programme Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for implementation of LMI activities in Podkarpacie voivodeship.Core Functions / Responsibilities: * Monitor, support and supervise daily activities of the LMI team in Podkarpacie and provide technical guidance to LMI staff.

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the program activities in line with IOM standards.
  • Coordinate and manage partnership agreements within LMI Unit.
  • Coordinate with IOM teams and IOM partners.
  • Maintain effective liaison and coordination with relevant local authorities, United Nation agencies, civil society organizations, migrant communities, employers organizations, universities, and other relevant stakeholders in the region in the scope of LMI Programme.
  • Monitor situation related to the social-economic inclusion and labour mobility of migrants and refugees in the region, identify needs and operational challenges.
  • Compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on social-economic inclusion in the region on regular base including data on assistance provided by IOM.
  • Deliver capacity building activities and presentations in the scope of LMI and participate in the meetings and conferences.
  • Perform regular operational and financial monitoring and ensure timely reporting related to all LMI activities in the region.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, leaflets and outreach information materials.
  • Identify opportunities for new projects in the region, provide inputs for the development of concept papers and provide general support for the development of new projects including budgeting.
  • Undertake duty travel as required, including as part of emergency field deployments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and ExperienceEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • High School degree with 6 years of relevant experience

Experience and SkillsExperience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.Strong experience in project management and in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, other vulnerable groups as well as local communities.Strong expertise in social-economic integration of migrants and labour mobility.Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting.Experience in preparing reports from analysis and from project implementation.The previous research experience will be an asset.In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration and social-economic integration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,Excellent analytical and writing skills.Very good project management skills.Capacity to develop and supervise quality control/assurance mechanisms in LMI activities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, personal commitment, efficiency and flexibility.Good level of computer literacy.

Ability to work under difficult conditions including working under time-pressure.Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles.LanguagesFluency in Polish and English (oral and written) is required.
