Job Description

The application Specialist must support clinical systems to provide front line technical applications and training for all Binding Site systems. Will undertake development projects and investigations to advance technical understanding and knowledge of TBS systems.

The role will involve:

Supporting, training and advising Sales, Marketing and Technical Specialists to identify risk and resolve case investigations.

Develop and maintain good working and customer relationships both nationally and internationally.

Conduct technical presentations / training sessions both in-house and offsite to educate and support both customers and subsids/distributors in the optimal use of Binding Site assays and protocols

Research, analyse, evaluate and make recommendations for continuous improvements to specifications and applications procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:

A relevant scientific degree/clinical immunology or pathology-based degree (or equivalent) or fully trained Applications Technician

Knowledge of Biochemistry instrumentation or knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures.

Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

The ability to travel at short notice and occasionally work weekends/unsociable hours.

Full driving license

Excellent level of English Language knowledge.

Desirable requirements:

The ability to develop training programmes.

Knowledge / work experience in an Immunology/Biochemistry company. Knowledge of lab instrumentations in the protein sector.

Awareness of cultural and linguistic differences when dealing with international customers.

Excellent level of English Language knowledge.
