The Role:In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in our mission to cultivate confidence and a love for movement in young women. Your responsibilities include:
- Captivating the Classroom:
- Design and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to a variety of abilities and interests, with a particular focus on encouraging girls’ participation and leadership within sports and physical activities.
- Utilize a variety of innovative teaching methods, including practical activities, game-based learning, technology integration, and differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment that fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and celebrates individual achievements.
- Prepare students for success in relevant PE qualifications.
- Building Confidence in Movement:
- Develop students’ competence and confidence in a variety of sports and physical activities, with a particular focus on empowering young women to excel.
- Implement strategies to promote healthy habits and a lifelong love for physical activity.
- Fostering Leadership and Wellbeing:
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate leadership skills and opportunities for girls within the PE department and extracurricular sports teams.
- Promote a holistic approach to well-being, integrating the importance of mental and physical health within your lessons.
The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking a passionate and qualified Female PE Teacher with a minimum of two years’ successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A demonstrably strong subject knowledge across all areas of the PE curriculum, with a particular passion for sports and activities relevant to girls’ interests.
- Excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated PE lessons.
- A strong commitment to promoting girls’ participation in sports and physical activity, fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment.
- A dedication to promoting student well-being and the ability to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
