You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside colleagues that are always trying to reach the next level. The role reports to the R&D Excellence Manager. The Innovation Centre in Nijmegen is the showcase for Kraft Heinz, enabling a wide variety of activities and hosting important stakeholders and visitors. Get ready for a challenge where no day will be the same.A Day In The Life of A Facilities Supervisor…The day starts with a meeting with the maintenance team, getting a feeling of the previous day in our Pilot Plant and debriefing any new insights from the leadership team.Afterwards, you take a quick tour through the pilot plant, where you address any potential occupational health and safety or food safety issues with contractors who are installing a new production line or technologist who are working on our latest products or processes. During your tour, you see what others might overlook, like early signs of wear and tear of the facilities.In the office, you answer some day-to-day questions regarding our IT systems and maybe liaise with the catering, cleaning and/or security teams to understand any day-to-day issues and agree actions. After that, you start working on your new project which will improve our Environmental, Social and Governance impact.After lunch, you will attend a meeting about new plans for the pilot plant where you make sure any new additions will not overload our maximum floor capacity or exceed legal regulations regarding affluence.Next up is training the new cohort of international interns on how to work safely in our pilot plant.During the day, you got some ideas for long-term improvements, so you write them down in the budget request for next year.

Before you call it a day, you ensure that the conference room is set up properly for the important visitors who will be arriving tomorrow early in the morning.Key Ingredients:
  • Supervise the mechanical, civil and electrical engineering works in the building.
  • Continuously drive and improve the safety culture within the facility.
  • Initiate new ideas to support the future of the building, laboratories and the pilot plant.
  • Proactively manage and lead complex building upgrade projects.
  • Ensure effective operation and control of the building (e.g. utilities, facility activities and IT).
  • Control and handle all visits to the facility.
  • Interact with local government and companies around our building.
  • Supervise all maintenance contracts and service partners (e.g. security, catering) on site.
  • Oversee that all pilot plant trials and building works are conducted safely and according to the agreed way of working.
  • Manage building related budget and capital expenditure (CAPEX)
  • Leading by example with a “Can Do” mentality.
  • Service minded.

Recipe for Success: Apply if it sounds like you

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree/technical background or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • 5-10 years experience in facility/building management
  • Experience of safe working with contractors (safe systems of work, contractor control)
  • Functional understanding of; civil works, factory processes within the (food) industry, building audio/video systems & IT networks, general building systems (HVAC, water, sewage, electrics, etc.
  • Language Knowledge: Fluent in English, preferably also Dutch speaking
