This Fabricator Fitter role is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class organisation that specialises in delivering innovative solutions for the defence industry. As a Fabricator Fitter, you will play a vital role in crafting high-quality equipment within a state-of-the-art facility. This role promises stability, growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the industry. Working 07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 12:00 Friday paying A£19.22 per hour plus overtime.

What You Will Do:

– Fabricate and fit aluminium components using jigs and fixtures, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and fabrication procedures.

– Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections to guarantee the quality of fabricated components aligns with specifications.

– Operate hand tools and measuring instruments to complete tasks with precision.

– Perform European qualification of welder approval tests on a regular basis.

– Report equipment faults or unusual occurrences through approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures.

– Log hours and tasks accurately using a Materials Requirements Planning system, SAP.

What You Will Bring:

– Recognised Time-Served Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant discipline.

– Practical fitting experience in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.

– Knowledge of key production processes and procedures.

– Strong understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
