The activities are ranging from conducting R&D projects to providing direct support to Boeing’s engineering functions and programs.As a Systems Engineer you’ll be joining an interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of digital engineering solutions.The successful candidate will have:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with a diverse engineering team.Intrinsic aptitude for taking initiative, leading cross functional teams and complex projects.Ability to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.Position responsibilities:Conduct research in the area of digital engineering, with emphasis on data interoperability and standards, dynamic systems modeling and simulation, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)Develop and implement Digital Engineering solutions for exchange and collaboration using models. Such solutions include system models, data models, processes, training material and tool prototype solutions.Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics or related fields.Experience with System Architecture Modeling (e.g. SysML), Requirements Management (e.g. DOORS) and Dynamics Systems Modeling (e.g. Matlab/Simulink).Able to travel both domestically and internationally.Fluent in both verbal and written English.Must be legally able to work in Europe.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.Experience with OEM – Supplier engineering interactions in the Aerospace industry.Experience applying Systems Engineering principals in the Aerospace industry.Experience with Data Interoperability Standards for Models (e.g. ISO STEP and FMI).Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (3DX, Teamcenter, or similar).Experience with project-management software applications such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and/or JIRA.Background in scripting/coding and experience with a programming language (Python, Matlab, or similar).Demonstrated experience in Research and Physical Reasoning.Previous experience working in multicultural environments will be very useful.Ability to manage complex settings with diverse, distributed, virtual teams. Demonstrated proficiency in leading complex technical discussions.Self-organized, self-motivated, energetic with strong analytical and interdisciplinary mindset.Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologies.Good understanding of the system lifecycle in systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, and verification & validation.Relocation:This position does not offer relocation. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.This requisition is for a locally hired position in Europe (Germany or Spain).
