You will join Digital Products & Software Engineering, Development a unit in Digital, Data & IT acting as a trusted advisor and partner on software development ventures helping the business area Development realise digital aspirations. You will become a part of an inspiring, and ambitious work environment, where modern software development methodologies, tools, teamwork, and a growth mindset is key.What’s in it for you?You will be working with the StudyHub which consist of 7 agile teams solving one our largest and most complex business challenges in Novo Nordisk’s value chain and will you be exposed to stakeholders across the organisation. Joining a technology leadership team with other experienced leaders where the mantra is “we succeed as a team”.By utilizing your leadership skills and knowledge about software development and digital product management you will play an instrumental role in strengthening software engineering leadership with the business area Development, enabling product teams unleash their full potential by ensuring that systemic challenges are being addressed and actioned.Your key responsibilities are to:

  • Drive People leadership of approximately a total of 25-30 tech professionals eg. Software Engineers, Tech Leads, Scrum masters and ensure well-being and development of employees
  • Partner and collaborate closely with the business and the internal DD&IT organisation to create an engineering culture that is characterized by superior technical excellence
  • Ensure that dependencies or challenges is being addressed and being executed to the benefit of business value and product team(s) motivation
  • Collaborate with design and product management to drive the Digital Transformation together

You will report to the Head of Digital Products, Development who has the overall responsibility for business partnering and driving in-house software products across the business area Development; you will be a sparring partner in the leadership team, co-driving the recommendations and strategy for how we execute.Candidate profile
We expect you have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of solid experience within the software development life cycle applying a DevOps and digital product management mindset
  • Proven track record of leading multiple teams specialised in software development and operations, as Director or VP of Software Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively influence peers and partners
  • Strong people leadership skills 10+ years, attracting diversity and talent
  • Experience in vendor management, RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes – leading recommendation for build or buy decisions

You also possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, and advocate convincingly about the value of software design and DevOps practices, particularly to stakeholders who are used to making decisions based on cost or efficiency as a central purpose for new initiatives.Join the Novo Nordisk familyNovo Nordisk is a global healthcare company headquartered in Denmark.
