The position
As an Executive Assistant, you will serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to the CVP of Peptide Research, driving key strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment of the unit´s strategy with the rest of the Senior SVP area – Therapeutics Discovery & Accelerated Execution (TDAE) – and Research and Early Development (R&ED).
In this role, you will be a key member of the Peptide Research Leadership Team (LT), reporting directly to the CVP.
Your key responsibilities include:
-Serving as a strategic advisor for the CVP of Peptide Research, with sparring and support to the CVP as well as the Peptide Research LT.
-Establishing and maintaining a robust network within R&ED and beyond.
-Initiating, driving, and overseeing key strategic processes within Peptide Research in alignment with stakeholders and the larger R&ED organisation.
-Supporting the establishment of overviews to ensure effective portfolio management and decision-making in relation to our pipeline of peptide projects.
-Organizing and chairing LT meetings and off-sites, including follow-up on actions.
-Preparing material tailored to various audiences, including area meetings and SVP LT meetings.
-Independently making decisions on business, management, and strategy matters as delegated by the CVP.
Qualifications
-A graduate-level university degree (MSc, PhD) in Science/Engineering.
-Minimum three years of relevant professional experience working within strategy or project management; alternatively, a successful track record from a consulting firm, preferably having worked within the pharmaceutical industry.
-Experience working in a complex, interdisciplinary organization within a global context.
-An enterprise mindset, caring for the bigger picture without losing sight of important details.
-Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems with creative solutions.
-Proven ability to build long lasting partnerships and foster collaboration, facilitating dialogue with stakeholders inside and outside of Novo Nordisk.
-Strong track record of creating business results with impact at senior management level.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
About the department
Peptide Research is a central part of the TDAE area in R&ED in Novo Nordisk. The CVP area is responsible for driving the peptide modality innovation agenda and delivering state-of-the-art scalable production processes to ensure the technology basis for Novo Nordisk to stay competitive.
