An opportunity has arisen for an Execution & Logistics Coordinator in the centre of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We are seeking a self-starter, critical thinker, with discipline for continuous learning to join our team. We will provide hands on learning opportunities and work experience via assigned tasks in any of the following areas such as; contract execution, stock management, transportation, coordination of in- and outbound commodity flows, product safety and relationship management.
You will be working within a motivated team that is responsible for procuring, trading and handling Agricultural bulk commodity flows in North-Western Europe, mainly the Benelux region.
You will build agribusiness competency in our world-leading company and you’ll enjoy local and international exposure within our broader Agricultural Services and Oilseeds division in EMEA.Responsibilities

• Daily planning and managing logistics activities. Updating and monitoring of contract positions in internal applications or Excel
• Contract knowledge of purchase, sale and freight contracts
• Create planning instructions for loading at our stevedores
• Maintain contacts with counter parts such as ship agents/surveyors/labs/ freight owners and storage facilities
• Maintain contact with our customers and coordinate inbound flows to their facilities
• Create and present documents to counterparts; checking documents from third party suppliers
• Follow-up on payments, demurrage or other issues and escalate when required
• Monitor contract conditions, settled quantities and stock positions
• Secure product safety, and settling quality discrepancies with customers and suppliers
• Nominate counterparts and service providers
• Ensure correct settlement with counterparts including transport/services/claims

Your Profile

• Bachelor degree; HBO analytical thinking in order to grow in role
• Relevant work experience is a plus, but not a must
• Good communication skills
• Self-starter, owners mindset, ‘can-do’ mentality
• Resilient in a fast moving environment
• Fluent in English and Dutch (German & French a plus)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, experience in ERP or other software systems is a solid plus
• Ability to understand complex administrative and logistical processes, logistic procedures
• Documents, contracts and contract positions; Incoterms knowledge is preferred
• Team player as well as independent working
• Show your initiative, identify defects and take immediate action
• Accurate on detail
• Logical thinker, setting up priorities or otherwise on time escalate
