Events AssistantAs our Events Assistant, you will join our dynamic Events team, which thrives on creating memorable event experiences. From our flagship event, the annual Conference and Exhibition, to a range of smaller gatherings, we handle all aspects of event planning and execution. In this role, you will play an essential role in helping to bring our events to life with a focus on organisation and attention to detail. You thrive in an international environment, are highly collaborative and feel comfortable working independently when needed. You will report to the Manager Events and will be part of the Events team. You will mostly be working from home, in combination with time each week spent with colleagues at the physical office at The Social Hub in Amsterdam.Key responsibilities
- Team collaboration: working closely with the events team, assisting in various phases of event planning and execution, including administration support, desk research and follow up with external parties for all events.
- Event preparation: Supporting event logistics, including vendor coordination, venue arrangements, transportation and material preparation for the annual conference and exhibition.
- Onsite assistance: Supporting onsite setup and coordinating various logistical elements and social events for the annual conference and exhibition.
- Hands-on support for various smaller internal and external events throughout the year.
- Supporting the EAIE team with sustainable innovations
Requirements
- Work experience of either one or two years in a similar position
- Minimum level of MBO degree in a relevant field
- Excellent planning & organization skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Needs to be flexible to travel for the planning and execution of the events 3-4 times a year
- A valid work permit and already living in the Netherlands and prepared to travel to the office once per week

- Salary: starting full–time salary of € 2.700 – 2.900 gross per month, depending on education/work experience. This is a full-time, 5 days per week (37.5 hours) role. A contract of twelve months will be offered initially with the expectation of extending. Preferably available to start as soon as possible.
