Together, through collaboration, as One Agilent, we are better able to deliver trusted answers to our customer’s critical questions because we know there is work to be done.We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated person to lead half of a team of HR and Payroll professionals to support over 4400 employees and managers throughout 16 European countries through HR and payroll operations/administration, in close collaboration with outsourced payroll vendors and partners throughout Agilent. This position is part of the Europe HR Services function with two supervisors and 15 team members.You will interact with company personnel at all organizational levels and will be required to perform duties of a critical or confidential nature.   • Provide direction and leadership to a team of 6-8 HR and payroll professionals, cultivating a culture of service excellence, flawless delivery, compassionate support and continuous improvement
  • Ensure Payroll & HR administration activities stay aligned with company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and statutory requirements
  • Strong problem solving and technical work coupled with confident decision making for enabling effective solutions leading to high customer satisfaction and low operational cost
  • Optimize repeatable business processes and effective internal controls
  • Manage the smooth integration of new HR and Agilent-wide initiatives into payroll systems and HR processes through practiced project management techniques.
  • Manage key vendor relationships, negotiating services and ensuring deliverables meet or exceed established service levels and metrics
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with partners throughout HR, IT, Finance, Sourcing, and Workplace Services

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in people management; regional payroll experience in a multinational environment is preferred
  • A dynamic team leader and collaborator with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must, other language skills are a plus
  • Strong sense of commitment and urgency to meet tight project and production deadlines
  • Solid numerical, troubleshooting and system skills, especially using MS Excel
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources and/or Finance preferred
