Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS)This part time (0.6FTE) post is available on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2026.Summary of the roleThis post is based within as part of a multi-disciplinary Professional Services team providing support for all University activities.The Ethical Data Initiative Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of the , a project that aims to address big issues, including data literacy and transparency, building trust within data ecosystems, bringing together diverse actors and stakeholders to shape the future of data governance. This centre Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for the post holder to help turn the strategy into deliverable actions and to help build the reputation of EDI at the University of Exeter.The primary role of this post is to support the strategic development of the EDI within the Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Anthropology Department (SPSPA). Working closely with the Deputy Director of Faculty Operations (DDFO), the SPSPA Department Leadership Team and EDI Directors and staff, you will be responsible for the ongoing sustainable development of EDI and supporting its income generation. You will work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues and connect internally across the University and externally with national and international stakeholders and partners. Maintaining and developing stakeholder relationships is key to the successful delivery of research, teaching, business engagement and income generating activity. Supporting communications through the website and via social media to promote EDI will be a key role.The successful candidate will be a team player with an ability to work independently and have a proven problem-solving ability with burgeoning leadership skills. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences including senior stakeholders, through a variety of means.
