Job Description:Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Functional and System Design Responsible for In-flight Entertainment & Optronic systems (f/m) to join our Design office based in Marignane, France.You will join a team of 60 engineers in the “Situational Awareness and Mission Management” department in charge of terrain/weather/threats/traffic awareness functions, vision enhancement and targeting systems, data-links as well as mission management systems for all (e-)VTOLs.Your mission will consist of system engineering activities and helicopter level integration of in-flight entertainment & optronic systems (e.g. In-Flight Entertainement & Augmented Reality Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, Electro Optical Systems, Targeting system)Your working environment:Major economic hub with Marseille-Provence Airport, Marignane is a dynamic city in the southeast of France. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.Your challengesYou will be responsible of the development and the integration of the In-Flight Entertainment & Electro Optical System (EOS) on different helicopter platforms.Your activities will include:Definition and implementation of operational concepts and use cases for entertainment & optronic systemsRequirements engineeringEnsure planning at equipment and helicopter level for development and qualificationAssess suppliers’ offers with other stakeholdersInterface with project management, purchasing, sales department and other project stakeholders throughout the organizationInterface with / management of suppliers and customersManage suppliers during development phaseSupport rig, ground and flight testing of the equipmentEnsure the qualification / certification of equipment and the according functionsApply of agile development methodologyParticipate in offer management and contributing to product sourcing policyBenchmark our solutions with state of the art optronic ones (e.g. in the field of augmented reality, laser technology, image processing)
Actively contribute to definition and execution of research and technology (R&T) activities and optronic systems product strategySupporting knowledge exchange within Airbus (all divisions)Your profileAcademic studies in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, optical studies or similarComprehensive experience in the design, development, engineering and/or integration of optronic systems (e.g. Augmented Reality Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, Electro Optical Systems, Targeting system) for aircraftA previous experience in optronic systems (e.g. Augmented Reality Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, Electro Optical Systems, Targeting system) development and integration in an airborne platform would be a plus.Knowledge in systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in the field of avionicsA previous experience with agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe) would be beneficialExperience in Supplier ManagementTeam Spirit, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder managementLanguage skills: English business fluent / negotiation level, knowledge of German, French or Spanish would be an advantageThis position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.Not a 100% match?
