Estimator – Clean Water Treatment – Peterborough

A leading water treatment specialist is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our team in Peterborough. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in preparing accurate cost estimates for clean water treatment projects.

About the Role:

As Estimator, you will play a vital role in securing new projects by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates. Your responsibilities will include:

* Tender Preparation: Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
* Cost Estimating: Developing comprehensive cost estimates for clean water treatment projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs.
* Risk Assessment: Identifying and quantifying potential risks associated with projects, including material cost fluctuations, labor shortages, and unforeseen site conditions.
* Value Engineering: Exploring potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
* Contract Negotiation: Supporting the negotiation of contracts with clients, ensuring favorable pricing and contractual arrangements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Proven Experience: You have years of experience in preparing cost estimates for clean water treatment projects.
* Technical Expertise: You have a strong understanding of clean water treatment technologies, processes, and equipment.
* Estimating Skills: You are proficient in using estimating software and have a strong understanding of cost analysis methods.
* Problem-Solving: You are analytical and detail-oriented, able to identify potential cost issues and develop solutions.
* Communication: You are a clear and concise communicator, able to explain cost estimates effectively to clients and colleagues.
