Ardingly College is on the lookout for an experienced and knowledgeable Gardener to become a vital part of our busy Grounds department. This role is pivotal in maintaining the beauty and health of our gardens and horticultural areas, working collaboratively with our dedicated team.Key Responsibilities:– Tend to the gardens and flower beds, ensuring they are kept to the highest standards.
– Perform general grounds care, including mowing, strimming, and other maintenance tasks.
– Contribute to the horticultural maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement.We Seek Candidates Who:– Eagerness to learn and help with the improvement of gardens and flower beds
– Hold qualifications in horticulture (advantageous, but not essential).
– Are self-motivated, with the ability to forge effective working relationships.
– Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the college.Terms and ConditionsHours of Work: 42.5 hours per week working between 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with a requirement to rotated Saturday mornings during term time. This is a full-time 52 weeks a year position.Salary: £26,520.00 paHoliday entitlement: 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays, five days are to be taken during the Christmas closedown period. The Early May Bank Holiday is a normal working day.
