Role: ESG Transformation Lead

Location: Molesworth Street, Dublin / Hybrid

About the Role:

The ESG Transformation function is responsible for optimising the Bank’s strategic ambitions across the ESG agenda whilst delivering on ESG regulatory obligations. The team explores a range of options to deliver a transformational level of change, within challenging timelines, to re-inforce and build on AIB’s position as a recognised leader in sustainability and ensure the Bank delivers on external commitments, ambitions and ESG related regulatory requirements.   Given the transformational nature of the team, a high degree of flexibility is required to deliver on competing priorities from customer opportunities to risk management to regulatory obligations.  

This ESG Transformation Lead assists the Head of ESG Transformation in developing, communicating and executing customer opportunities to support sustainable finance and investment. They will work extensively with business unit leadership and collaborate with product and proposition owners to support the delivery of a market leading suite of green and transition customer products and propositions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

-Providing strong leadership to deliver enterprise-wide transformational change, reinforcing and building on AIB’s position as sustainability leader.
-Support the Head of Transformation in leading and managing the ESG transformation agenda, as it pertains to our customers,  across the enterprise.
-Developing and delivering transformative growth opportunities to support our commitment of 70% of new lending to be green or transition by 2030 and to be Net Zero in our lending portfolios by 2050.
-Working collaboratively with enterprise wide teams including product and proposition owners to ensure strategic sustainability requirements are included in product and proposition development with clear outcomes and best in class execution to deliver a market leading suite of green and transition products and propositions.
-Managing a broad range of business and technical challenges relating to ESG agenda. 
 

What you will bring : 

-A highly motivated self-starter with 10+ years relevant industry, business, and transformation experience.
-10+ years experience and proven delivery across the product and propositions management lifecycle.    
-Candidates considered for the role will have a strong track record of success in leading transformation at an enterprise level.
-Understand all facets and drivers of the business and make decisions with recognition of short and long-term implications.
-Strong analytical skills with related ability to clearly articulate proposals for ExCo consideration
-Highly skilled in building enduring relationships with stakeholders.
-Must be a clear role model, with demonstrated capability of developing and coaching people, empowering and trusting in people.
