Make a positive impact.We are seeking an experienced ESG & Sustainable Finance Manager / Senior Manager to join our team.In the Financial Services (FS) industry, risks and regulations are no longer just compliance matters.The ESG / Sustainable Finance regulatory requirements impact all dimensions of financial institutions.The rapidly changing environment, related changing strategies and technology-driven client services,creates new opportunities and new risks, such as the risks related to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). Helping our clients in the Financial Services sector to go through their Sustainable Finance journey is one of our key priorities.In the position as an ESG / Sustainable Finance Manager / Senior Manager, you’ll focus on identifying and prioritizing sustainability issues, assisting clients to set goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into the overall corporate strategy, and helping them implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.A career with our Financial Services Sustainability team will enable you to help clients meet evolving stakeholder expectations for transparency on environmental, social and governance topics.Your impactBusiness orientation :Responsibilities in projects for clients, focusing on the ESG-related challenges, i.e. Sustainability transition plan, ESG processes and controls, Non-financial reporting preparation (CSRD), integration of ESG risks into the risk management framework, ESG data management, related frameworks and reporting dashboards, facilitating the communication within the project stakeholders to enable the ESG implementation activities to be rolled out (front and back office, IT, risk, etc)Active participation in client discussions to help them dealing with the understanding of the impacts of ESG, the operational implications and assisting them in shaping target operating models and business processesWork most of the time in close collaboration with our clients, at our client’s premises depending on the agreement with themLearn about new regulations and understand their impact on the financial institutions (governance, risk management, processes, organization, people and technology)Customer orientation :Advise clients on their risk and regulatory agendas, as well as strategic agenda, and help them to operationalise these in their day-to-day businessesDevelop a holistic approach to increase the level of trust, implement strategic decisions in a sustainable manner and enhance efficiencyLeverage your network, develop new business relationships and expand our client baseIdentify gaps in the market and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth for our operationsDrive revenue growth and business development to achieve our company’s commercial goalsDrive innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery, identifying opportunities to enhance our offerings and stay ahead of industry trendsPeople orientation :Lead, mentor, train and develop a high-performing team, and assess their performanceArrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realize their potential and support their long-term aspirationsManage resource allocation and project assignments to optimize team productivityCreate an environment where people and technology thrive together and accomplish more than they could separatelyAbout youMaster’s in (applied) economics, business engineering (e.g. management information systems), law, or any relevant economic major, possibly via a second master’s or PhD – an ESG / Sustainable Finance study background is a plusMinimum 10 years of non-financial risks auditing, risk assessment/process assurance consulting in sustainability matters within financial institutionsConcrete ESG and Sustainable Finance experience (disclosures, taxonomy, development of risk indicators, etc)A professional experience in credit risk consulting is an assetExcellent communication skills combined with critical mindset and client-oriented skillsBorn team player who likes to take initiativeFast learner, open to challenges and keen to continue learning and developingFluent in Dutch and/or French, as well as EnglishOpen to learning new technologies, robotic process automation or data analytics skillsLife at PwC BelgiumOur culture and workplace are something we’re proud of.
