In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Serve as a critical business partner & drive a consistent strategic vision for EHS across regional lifecycle services organization:

  • Define the European EHS strategy in alignment with MSol Global EHS strategies, initiatives, systems & expectations to drive safety awareness, engagement, and incident prevention;

  • Integrate health and safety into regional leadership routines & activities and providing EHS leadership;

Coordinate the development, implementation and ensure effectiveness of EHS programs across regional LCS organization:

  • Review and understand the effectiveness of the regional EHS policies and their applications to the Services organization in alignment with Emerson, local regulatory & customer EHS expectations;

  • Serve as an advisor to the regional Services leadership team using a risk-based approach to assist in establishing vision, purpose, and strategy for EHS activities;

  • Maintain a good understanding of related laws/regulations and emerging issues to ensure compliance with all local and regional regulations;

  • In collaboration with EHS Leader of each European countries, develop and ensure EHS related training programs are in place and optimally deployed by measuring performance and compliance;

  • Establish and monitor effective measures & dashboards for EHS performance;

  • Provide support to the local EHS Leaders with local or regional regulatory agencies associated to the field Services;

Supervise the development, implementation, and application of effective response processes for customer EHS requirements:

  • Provide support to the local EHS Leaders in leading, managing inspections & audits to ensure corrective actions are supervised and detailed associated to the field Services;

  • Provide support during incident investigation process & emergency response to minimize risk to field services;

  • Analyze the impact of safety and health compliance on proposed projects;

Lead by influence EHS employees or others in dotted line reporting relationships:

  • Provide leadership, direction, & development to team members as needed;

  • Develop and implement effective feedback routines to recognize and mentor performance, as appropriate.

Who You Are:

You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You establish clear responsibilities and processes for leading work and measuring results. You are effective in various communication settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups and among diverse styles and position levels.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Science, or Engineering;

  • 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health and Safety programs;

  • Proven knowledge of relevant agency and industry standards and practices including but not limited to OSH or NEBOSH;

  • Experience developing and conducting EHS training, policies and procedures;

  • Expertise in Environmental, Health, Safety laws and regulations;

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office® products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English;

  • Must be willing and able to collaborate and influence management in diverse groups such as Operations, Training, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Administrative;

  • Self-starter and quick learner

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail;

  • Willing to travel approx. 10% of the time;
