Senior Environmental Consultant

Essex

Salary: GBP35,000-45,000

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join their friendly and ambitious environmental planning team.

Requirements for Applicants:

* Degree in environmental science or a related discipline
* MSc in a relevant environmental field
* Minimum 3+ years’ professional experience (public or private sector)
* Thorough knowledge of UK environmental assessment, planning, and nature conservation legislation and guidance
* Proven ability to produce high-quality written reports suitable for public consultation
* Membership/Chartership with IEMA or a similar professional institute
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisational abilities
* Strong numerical skills and proficiency in common software applications

Desired Experience:

* Proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS
* Experience working across multiple environmental disciplines
* Experience in business development, including bid preparation and sales

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Undertaking site assessments
* Contributing to the preparation of high-quality environmental assessment reports
* Day-to-day client liaison
* Working collaboratively with project team members
* Attending client and stakeholder meetings
* Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
* Supporting business development activities, including bid writing
