Engineering Manager for Vaimo International & US will lead the engineering organisation in the given market (territory) to ensure:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:LeadershipResponsible for the growth, maturity and satisfaction of the engineering organisation in the given market (International & US)Maintain and improve the engineering job familiesMaintain and improve the growth and performance framework for engineers in the given market (International & US)Ensure that all engineers have both performance and development goals, and that engineers understand what they need to do to progress in their careers (“career progression plan”)Achieve all of these things by collaborating with Engineering Practice Leads, Engineering Competence Leads, Architects, and other Heads of EngineeringHelp your engineers grow and mature by providing regular training. Also use these trainings to close competency gaps in the organisation.Works with the Planning Manager and HR to ensure that the market hires engineers with the right competence, at the right time, to meet the business forecastIn collaboration with the Planning Manager, adjusts the size and composition of Delivery Teams to meet the business’ needs (without destabilising existing teams)
Ensuring quality of all engineering processes and “ways of working”.Describing/setting the standard for all engineering processes in the given market (International & US).Adds, removes and improves engineerings processesAccountable for the engineering organisation’s adoption of the market’s engineering processes, and compliance to these processesSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:More than 5 years experience as a software engineering leader, preferably in a professional services company;Ecommerce background is a MUST;Software engineering experience as part of a delivery team;Academic/technical degree in software engineering;Keen interest in, and understanding of devops;Experience in leading and structuring an engineering organisation;Experience in managing large groups of engineers;Experience in goal setting;Excellent organisational and leadership skills;Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.WE OFFER: Wrocław, dolnośląskie
