Days – Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 (Some Flexibility Required) (M-Th 8-5, F 8-4)

Engineering Manager required for a successful and growing chemical manufacturer. This is a great chance for those looking to play a key part in developing the engineering department and get involved with new investment and site improvement projects.

This role would suit experienced Engineering Managers from a chemicals or similar background. Those with experience in Comp-Ex / ATEX environments or similar will hold an advantage.

You will hold responsibility for all aspects of engineering on site and the leadership of the small team of 2 direct reports. This includes planned and reactive maintenance on a range of process equipment, e.g. pumps / chillers / oil baths / reactors / motors / tanks and compressors. This includes electrical, instrumentation and mechanical work (e.g. fitting pipes and replaces gauges). You will also hold engineering department seniority over the two existing maintenance engineers / technicians.

The Engineering Manager Role:

A· Deliver an engineering support function to the site in line with EH&S, quality, service and cost KPI’s.
A· Ensure that plant and equipment operate in a way that achieves highest levels of OEE.
A· Ensure that the Scheduled Maintenance Plan is carried out and documented correctly, including Scheduled Maintenance performed by others in the company.
A· Lead and support in the design and installation of new plant and equipment as needed by the business.
A· Agree design criteria and specific equipment specifications with the Production Manager. This includes coordinating parts for the work, performing risk assessment for the job and understanding how to reduce this.

The Engineering Manager:

* Experienced Engineering Manager from a chemical or similar background
* ATEX / Comp-Ex or equivalent environment is a benefit
