The purpose of the role is:

Responsible for Managing and overseeing all aspects of the engineering change process across the account, to develop and implement effective change management planning and strategy.

The Engineering Change Lead will be a key role within the senior technical function of the team, focussing on critical works planning, control, and risk mitigation. The role holder will work with CBRE colleagues and the client to prioritise engineering change requests and help identify any potential risk to business operations. To monitor and evaluate impact of engineering changes to BAU, project delivery, and client business operations. Providing effective communication to all relevant stake holders. Co-ordinate contractors, suppliers, and onsite teams to ensure effective completion of engineering changes. Other key responsibilities will include:

• To ensure the client’s change control process is adhered to and communicated as necessary.

• Identify, define, and mitigate risks associated with Engineering change requests.• Mentor account maintenance and project teams in change process, procedure, and execution. •Produce and present detailed reports on change status as required.

• Promote best practice across the wider team regarding planning ahead and maximising planned downtime.

• Create, manage, and maintain the annual change planner.

• Chair regular meetings with the wider CBRE and client teams.

• To own the engineering change process from start to finish.

• Become an SAP for HV/LV electrical. The role holder should have an ONC, BTEC or BEng degree (or similar) in an electrical/mechanical engineering discipline and relevant operational experience of change control process and critical works planning/delivery. Similarly, the role holder must be familiar with risk identification and be able to translate into suitable written reports/presentations that demonstrate a strong level of communication skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in change management and/or critical works planning.

• Evidenced electrical AP experience.

• Working knowledge and understanding of critical environments and systems.

• Strong understanding of engineering systems and processes.

• Able to think analytically, breaking down problems to provide viable solutions.

• Keen attention to detail with strong organisational skills.

• Proficient in computer systems and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and and Power point.

• Strong ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and via written reports.

Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

• Recognised Health and Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
