OverviewElement has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. If you have a MSC or BSC in material science / testing , Engineering or Electronics then we have an exciting opportunity for you. As a member of the technical team, you will support with a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensure timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. You will have a broad variety of challenges from a day to day basis, working on complex projects, putting your skills into practice.At Element we believe in developing our colleagues and have excellent opportunities available for those who wish to advance their careers.   • Project management of complex fatigue and fracture mechanics programs
  • Performing technical contract review of incoming work packages
  • Supporting with in-house calibrations
  • Supporting the laboratory team with test set-up and post test analysis
  • Compiling, reviewing and signing of complex test reports
  • Providing support during technical audits
  • Any other reasonable requests issued by the General or Technical Manager

Skills / Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • BSc or MSc in related field
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within a practical setting
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Possess strong computer skills
