We are seeking an Emergency Advisor who will be responsible for supporting and advising in emergency response activities.Who is FLC?Femern Link Contractors (FLC) is a dynamic joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. Our joint venture consists of nine internationally renowned construction companies, each bringing valuable experience in large infrastructure projects.Main responsibilities:Documentation, related to fire and emergency:

  • Maintain and continuously improve emergency response plans for our area, ensuring the highest level of safety for our clients.
  • Stay up to date with new emergency and fire regulations applicable in Denmark, and ensure compliance within our organization.
  • Update the legal watch register regarding emergency-related issues and effectively communicate the new regulations to interested parties.
  • Update and maintain DKV/OCM plans for buildings, ensuring readiness for any emergency situation.
  • Collaborate in establishing and maintaining work permit systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Issue Emergency Response Protocols whenever required and provide support to the execution team in preparing specific protocols.

Inspections:

  • Plan regular inspections and visits with external Danish emergency services to verify the availability and operational readiness of emergency equipment and resources.
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure that all emergency equipment and resources are in optimal condition.

Drills:

  • Develop and maintain an emergency drill catalog and prepare and follow up on the implementation of the drill schedule.
  • Participate, and occasionally lead, emergency drills, ensuring effective response strategies are in place.
  • Emergency response organization:
  • Participate in developing and managing the emergency response team and establish work plans for their effective operation.
  • Assist in the selection of emergency equipment and installations and take responsibility for their inspection and maintenance.
  • Identify training needs for the emergency response organization and develop and describe relevant training and education.
  • Assist, perform, or participate in emergency training exercises to ensure team readiness.
  • Assist in preparing inputs for meetings with authorities, ensuring compliance and effective communication.

Personal skills and experience:

  • An education and background from emergency services, military or similar functions.
  • Experience from work with high Health and Safety standards is an advantage .
  • Robust and stable – able to handle a dynamic environment.
  • Structured and self-driven when given a task or area of responsibility.
  • Strong Danish and English communication skills.
