As part of the EMC Engineering team, you are responsible for all EMC related activities to ensure Melexis’ products meet electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards and can be successfully integrated into our customers’ products. The successful candidate has a deep understanding of EMC regulations and testing methods, and is able to apply that knowledge to our products. More specifically, you will:
Define the applicable EMC Requirements for products and assure proper documentation
Provide technical design advice and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMC Requirements into product designs
Conduct EMC Design Reviews
Guide the testing team on the execution of inhouse EMC tests
Interpret EMC test results and provide guidance to design teams for remediation
Use modelling and simulation tools to get in-depth understanding of the physics causing EMC issues
Write application notes on EMC for the integration of products
Support customers with EMC compliance questions and concerns
Conduct research on new EMC testing equipment and techniques to improve testing efficiency and accuracy
Communicate and advise the wider development team on EMC engineering
Be the contact point for EMC regulations for understanding and knowledge sharing within the organisation
YOUR PROFILE
MsC or PhD in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of EMC regulations and standards such as ISO, CISPR, and IEC
Good experience with EMC compliance testing equipment and techniques
Experience with EMC modelling and simulation software
Problem solving mindset, result-oriented and proactive attitude
Effective communicator with good written and verbal skills in English
Self motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment
Natural leader with a can-do attitude
