More information can be found on the company website: www.cnh.comEmbedded Software DeveloperWithin CNH, the Software Core Technologies team provides versatile reusable software components that solve specific needs for multiple CNH platforms or end products. Examples include path planning, UDS, CAN, Isobus, graphics engine, etc.The Embedded Software Developer is a valued team member contributing to this. You will create software written in C++ that runs on a custom Embedded platform, be it a display or dedicated controller. This software allows users to monitor and control agricultural and other off-road commercial vehicles. The developer must be able to develop efficient software code based on written and verbal specifications.Your key responsibilities:1. Provide suggestions and strategies for architecture-based solutions and perform root cause analysis for problems encountered during testing and in the field.2. Contribute to and support the team in creating work breakdowns and estimates for directed tasks that contribute to an Agile framework3. Develop solutions specific to precision agriculture applications in off-road vehicles using ISOBUS (ISO 11783), Universal Terminal and Task Controller communicating with CAN or UDS protocols as per industry standard and using tools such as VECTOR CANalyzer.4. Development of software applications using C++5. Unit testing and pre-integration performance checks of all software6. Use of software development tools for version control, review and continuous integration while completing necessary documentation during the design and release phases of the softwareYour key competences and qualifications1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Software Engineering2. Preferably 3 years of professional C++ software development experience on Embedded Systems, ideally in an automotive or off-road industry3. Solid understanding of the Linux operating system architecture4. Experience in ISOBUS, Universal Terminal and Task controller applications is considered a plus5. Experience using CI/CD tools such as Git (version control), GitLab (code reviews), Jira, Confluence, JFrog, etc.6. Understanding of Design Patterns (e.g. MVC – Model-View-Controller, MVVM – Model- View-ViewModel)7. CAN (Controller Area Network) SAE J1939 communications experience is considered a plus8. Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols and sockets programming9. Experience using V-Model and/or Agile (e.g. Scrum) software development processes is considered a plus10.
