Electrophysiology is a fast-growing specialization in Cardiology with many new technologies and treatment options being introduced. The Boston Scientific EP portfolio exists of EP recording and pacing systems (LabSystemPro & MicroPace), catheters (Bard & Blazer), Advanced 3D mapping Ultra-High-Density system and catheters (Rhythmia), and Cryoablation system (POLARx). The portfolio continues to expand. In order to meet the need for our growing business in The Netherlands, we are looking for a Field Clinical Specialist Electrophysiology ( FCS EP) to complement our team of Account Managers and other Field Clinical Specialists.
 

The Electrophysiology (EP) Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of the Rhythmia System during case procedures within an assigned geography, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals.

Your key responsibilities will be:

-Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system/software development for Boston Scientific EP systems and catheters.
-Educates customers and internal Boston Scientific’s employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of Rhythmia by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments for Rhythmia system.
-Attends cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts of Rhythmia system and it’s components.
-Providing initial and continuous, as needed, training and feedback for development team and sales representatives (as appropriate) on Rhythmia system, development process, products and features, and procedures involving those products and features.
-Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling (in an automobile or airplane) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
-Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g. through meaningful conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.
-Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
-Will be required to maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation, cardiac ablation components, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and business landscape.
-With the portfolio expanding we typically assign each FCS with an Expert
-A role for a specific system or product line or activity, while achieving full working experience on the whole portfolio.
-This role will require significant travel in the Netherlands.
 
Who are we looking for:

Mapping experience:

-2-5 years of independent usage of existing 3D cardiac mapping/EP recording system or
-3-5 years of competitive EP clinical experience or
-6-10 years in cardiac related clinical field
-Knowledge of CRM / EP market preferred
-Strong communication, advising and presentation skills
-Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details
-Fluent in English.
-Able to rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace
-Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally
-Self-motivated and able to influence others
-Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent
-Willing and able to perform significant day travel in the Netherlands by workload
