Your Title: Electronic Engineer (m/f/d)Job Location: Joinville le Pont, France (Hybrid)Trimble Paris 3D scanning group is looking for an experienced digital electronic system engineer. The successful candidate will become a core member of the research development team. This multidisciplinary team is made up of highly talented electrical, optical, mechanical and Firmware Engineers, working in a “startup” environment that is capable of adapting quickly to emerging
technologies and changing market needs in order to deliver cutting-edge, innovative systems.Responsibilities:
You will be a bright, highly motivated, creative engineer. You will work on the design and development of prototypes for new 3D measurements products based on optical and electronic technologies. Your main responsibilities will be:Designing digital (mainly) electronics (electronic design, consumption analysis, PCB routing (Altium designer), EMC analysis and testing,Working on all aspects linked to the development of the electronic architecture of instruments with in mind the objective of cost, size and weight reduction while keeping a large working range of temperature and environmental conditions,Participating in development, integration and testing of low cost, low consumption and highly integrated optical measuring devices using lasers, optics, digital and analog electronics, motors, embedded cameras and highly integrated FPGA based computing devices (Zynq series 7000, Ultrascale…),Participating in mock up/demonstrator assembly and testing, including development of test code (Python based) to get data from the demonstrators, and data analysisCollaborating with team members specialized in mechanics, optics and firmware (Linux) will also be required to speed up the realization of prototypes.Involving yourself in the whole development cycle of the project, from conception, design, development, testing, to deployment.Pushing new ideas and concepts for instrument development.Skills & Experience Required:
You will have both an aptitude and interest in commercial technology and product development, top-level academic credentials and demonstrated drive and commitment.
You have a large sense of responsibility and a high level of autonomy in electronic design and development allowing you to produce innovative solutions to the complex problems that you will encounter.
You have a degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
Industry experience must include working as an electronic engineer and participating in market released product developments.
Experience with Altium Designer is mandatory (schematics + PCBA design & routing).In addition, you have the following skills:Very good communication and team skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.Good oral/written communication in English.Hands on person and quick on learning new technologies.Specialized in high-end instrument developmentFocused on instrument cost reduction,Willing to assemble, tune and test your own developments, as well as electronic sub-systems integration in a whole system and testNotions of Linux environment and good knowledge of Python or equivalent software to be used for sub-assembly or instrument testing and data analysis.Are you the candidate we are looking for?
