Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Static On-Site)

Location: Reading, UK

Salary: Up to GBP38,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + On-Call Rota for Additional Earnings

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity in the heart of Reading? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems within our site. If you have a passion for maintenance, problem-solving, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

* Conducting regular maintenance inspections on mechanical systems and equipment.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing timely repairs to minimise downtime.
* Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality of machinery and equipment.
* Collaborating with other maintenance team members to address complex technical problems.
* Responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment manuals.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, motors, and conveyors.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
* Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rota for additional earnings.
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
