Job Title: Education Health Care AssistantLocation:Barking & DagenhamJob Type:Permanent, Full-Time hours in a Special Needs SchoolSalary:£83.85 – £110 Per dayJob Duties:1. Providing support to students with medical needs within an educational setting2. Administering medication and assisting with medical procedures as required3. Monitoring and documenting students’ health conditions and reporting to the appropriate staff4. Collaborating with teachers and healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of students5. Supporting students with personal care needs and promoting independenceRequired Qualifications:– NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care– Valid First Aid and Manual Handling certifications– Enhanced DBS clearance (you can apply for a new one with us if you don’t have this)

Education:High school diploma or equivalentExperience:Previous experience in a healthcare or educational setting is desirableKnowledge and Skills:– Understanding of common medical conditions in children and young people– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills– Ability to work effectively in a team environment– Strong organisational skills and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:– NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care– Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs
