The EDC Outbound Warehouse Manager is a key player in fulfilling the E-DC quality policy: “The European Distribution Center will consistently satisfy customer needs by delivering the right product, in good condition, on time, with the right documentation at the optimum workload balance”.
As Outbound Warehouse Manager you provide leadership towards the outbound operations teams on the EDC campus (DC1, DC2, DC3 & potentially also at overflow / outside warehouses) and work in close coalition with EHS Manager, CI Team, EDC Outbound Planning & Admin manager and strive to improve each day with zero loss mindset on safety, quality, delivery, cost and people.

The scope of the role :
EDC outbound operations teams:Each team is led by a team leader, a direct report of the EDC Outbound Warehouse manager, and consists further out of one or two senior operators and a team of warehouse operators.Within a safe working environment the team ensures qualitative and on time warehouse execution of outbound deliveries.
Resourcing & training coordinator EDC operations Ensures that optimized line staffing in line with budget is guaranteed both for in- and outbound operations and in close cooperation with the team leaders makes sure that the warehouse staff is trained appropriately.
Your responsibilities:
You lead the operations teams (approx. 9 teams, over 150 people in total) to ensure on time departures, operational excellence, and optimal support of business requirements and this in an efficient and cost-effective way.
You enforce BD Excellence as our day-to-day way of working.
You lead, coach and support the different Team leaders in their day-to-day tasks and the management of their teams.
You manage the operational impact of projects: assure operational involvement and integration of experience via project participation.
You support implementation & guarantees operational readiness.
You create and maintain a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment in compliance with applicable regulations (governmental bodies and BD).
You monitor and drive effectiveness of processes by means of Key Performance Indicators.
You ensure that the correct supplies are stored at the EDC and necessary input is provided for goods receipt and supplier evaluation.
Drive a safety, zero loss and continuous improvement culture:
You make sure that safety comes at the first place.
You drive a culture of CI by empowering teams and individuals. Demonstrate zero loss mindset.
You identify areas of opportunity on mid to long term to increase quality and/or efficiency of the EDC’s operational processes.
You create an environment which liaises closely with internal/external customers (e.g. maintenance, Transport, …) in order to provide the “correct” service to our customers, minimize disruptions and guarantee operations.
You provide input & assists in operational strategy decisions for the major initiatives in the mid to long term.
You review service complaint metrics & use them to identify preventive / corrective actions to improve the service delivered to our customers.
Your profile:
You have 10-15 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution/production environment
You have team lead or management experience
You are analytical (excel skills)
You are customer focused
You are bold and strategic
You are result-oriented & love to tackle on continuous improvement projects
You are fluent in Dutch and English
Experience with SAP S4H is a plus, as well as WMS Manhattan
Experience with WMS Manhattan is a plus
