The mission of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) is to contribute to
sustainable development, the eradication of poverty, to peace and to the protection of human
rights, through international partnerships that uphold and promote European values and interests.

The EU’s international partnerships are crucial to strengthening its global role by fostering
sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with low- and middle-income countries.
These partnerships cover Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, and the Caribbean as
well as the EU’s overseas territories.

A major initiative is the Global Gateway, the €300 billion investment strategy that focuses on:
smart, clean, and secure infrastructure; supporting education, health, and research investments,
and ensuring fair, values-driven partnerships.

The EU’s international partnerships also support countries in fragile contexts by providing basic
services. Moreover, they address the root causes of irregular migration, including jointly fighting
human trafficking networks.

The Unit is part of the Directorate for Resources within DG INTPA. It is in charge of four main
dimensions, such as setting HR strategies priorities including for staff in the field offices; assessing
staff learning needs and designing learning solutions and upskilling; managing filing systems and
access to document; managing internal communication channels including the intranet; supporting
organisational development and change.

The position is placed in the Organisational Development & Change and Internal Communication
team, with a main focus on Internal Communication.

 

WE PROPOSE

Unit R1 of DG INTPA is seeking to hire one CA FGIII as Information & Communication assistant for
Internal Communication.

The position will contribute to internal communication initiatives using the most appropriate tools
and channels, under the supervision of an administrator and in collaboration with other colleagues
in the internal communication team. It will provide opportunities to support the organisational
development/change function through contribution to the local staff engagement initiative
(#INTPAWeWant).

WE LOOK FOR

We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in internal communication and
(web)editing, graphic design and illustration, and multimedia publishing. Experience in external
communication is an advantage. Very good knowledge of both English and French, both oral and
written, is also an essential requirement. Excellent writing skills are expected.
The ideal profile for the job is a background in communication, the above-mentioned experience,
and the ability to demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously while being part of a dynamic
team. Flexibility, openness to different ideas, active listening, structure and creativity are very much
welcome.
