- Responsible to issue her/his deliverables in due time to their respective xAE.
- Guarantee Quality, Cost and Timing of her/his deliverables and actively participate to any risk mitigation during critical period of projects
- Participates cross functionally with other departments (Purchasing, Quality, Validation) involved, during research and development phases, in a transversal manner.
- Supports research and development projects (including Field returns) or work packages related to all our CES product line.
- Lead the benchmark of potential supplier for Battery Pack in aggressive automotive environment
- Collects information related to Battery Pack metallic & plastic components. Makes this information comprehensive and ensures appropriate diffusion.
- Develop and deliver the Expertise related to metallic & plastic components of Mechatronics System into the Company for the Customers projects.
- Capitalize knowhow in his/her field of activity and contributes to training,
- Writes reports for internal diffusion and patent proposals; presents results to customer; ensures the diffusion of any relevant information within the research & development team and within the company.
- Participate to the development of test means and equipment and his/her field of activity,
- Follow regulations and customer specifications related to his/her field of activity
- Ensure PO CES metallic & plastic components meet systems requirements.
- Identifies potential improvements of current metallic & plastic components used within Clean Energy Systems; performs appropriate evaluations at resin or machine suppliers premises, Clean Energy Systems plants,…Checks their economic assessment
- Leads action plan for development or quality issues related to metallic & plastic components
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIESResponsibility 1 : Supports research and development projects or work packages related to metallic & plastic components for all product line:
- Provide technical support of Battery Pack research projects, by taking in responsibility a component or sub system perimeter and leads specific investigation
- Provide expertise in metallic & plastic components
- Provide design guidelines, chemical and physical properties knowledge on metallic & plastic components
- Participate to project reviews
- Analyze & synthesizes specifications and norms (especially EURO, CARB, EPA) related to his/her field of activity
- Take the technical lead with suppliers if needed: Identify suppliers / write technical specifications / participate to supplier selection/ follow up on component or material production / follow up the validation
- Provide deliverables according to INPRO R when requested by the project manager
Responsibility 2 : Participate to the development of test means and equipment and his/her field of activity
- Participate to the validation plan redaction, test procedures of the component or sub assembly of the system in his/her perimeter
- Respects research project milestones for the delivery of specific test means and test results
- Ensures the availability of Lab test means when specific to carry out the validation test
- Participates actively to the laboratory safety improvement
Responsibility 3 : Capitalize and protect knowhow in his/her field of activity,
- Assure technological watch about his/her field of activity
- Review literature, organize brainstorming, define a rank concept
- Protect Intellectual Property by writing patents
Responsibility 4 : Lead Proof Of Concept (POC) topics in relation with fuel & SCR system and Battery Pack innovations
- Lead proof of concept process: define the POC card, define the inputs, the deliverables, the timing, and assure follow up
- Report to management on the status of the POC
PROFILE REQUIREMENTSPersonal Background
- Above 5 years in Engineering/R&D positions or equivalent CDE position (MS or PhD will be a plus)
- Other academic backgrounds leading to mastering several of the above specific skills
- Experience in mechanical component design, related to gas high pressure is a plus
- Experience of project and supplier management
- Master degree in engineering or equivalent
- English (fluent)
- French or German (occasional)

- Solid and deep understanding of the technology
- Competences in Plastic & Polymer Materials
- Competences in Thermoplastics (Thermoset will be a plus)
- Understand system optimization
- Understand design for manufacturing
- Familiar with supplier contact and management
- Quality System Knowledge (ISA/TS 16949, IQSR, ISO/TS 17025, ISO 26262)
- Product Development Tools
- Organizational aptitudes. Ability to manager personal and team activities
- Database applications, INVISION, INPRO.net
- PO Clean Energy Systems methodologies and tools
- Communication skills: English. Fluent, including technical discussions in the field.
- DFMEA tools
- 8D and FTA analysis
