Role: Duty WardenLocation: Shuttleworth CollegeSalary: Rate of £11.44 phWorking Pattern: from 9.5hrs, up to 60 hrs per weekAbout the role:We are currently seeking Duty Warden to join Shuttleworth College.As a Duty Warden you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • To support the safe delivery of Halls of Residence, acting as first point of contact for students living in, holding and responding to calls and messages.
  • To supervise and promote wellbeing services for students in the halls of residence and uphold the National Minimum Care Standards.

About you:Ideal candidates will have:

  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
  • First Aid at work or a willingness to complete
  • Recent experience of working successfully with young people and adults in a formal/informal environment
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of using manual and IT based record systems
  • Experience of working effectively in a customer focussed environment
  • Ability to organise and deliver activities and programmes for young people
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to form good working relations with a wide range of people
  • The ability to deal with difficult interpersonal situations
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Full driving licence

What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.About The Bedford College Group
