Offer DescriptionThe S. Sakowicz National Inland Fisheries Research Institute is a scientific institution with over 70 years’ history, conducting research and implementation work, providing expert opinions and advisory services, as well as carrying out of national and international projects. The Department of Ichthyology, Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecology conducts research on the functioning of aquatic ecosystems in the context of their protection, fishing and angling management, the application of fish farming achievements in controlled conditions in the context of the protection of endangered species and understanding the factors influencing the ecology and structure of fish communities.The employee will be responsible for: conducting research and development works; authoring scientific works; participation in the dissemination of knowledge and research results; applying for budget and extra-budgetary funds for scientific research; developing your professional qualifications, including advancing their academic degree; active participation in the Department’s and the Institute’s organizational matters; following the Work Rules and other regulations concerning work, contained in general and internal legal acts.RequirementsResearch Field Agricultural sciences » Zootechnics Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications1) experience and knowledge in the field of recreational fishing – confirmed by academic achievements,2) experience and knowledge in the field of aquaculture and/or fish biology – confirmed by academic achievements,3) knowledge of text, graphic and spreadsheet editors in the MS Office suite,4) ability to operate computer equipment.Specific Requirements1) authorship or co-authorship of at least 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles, including at least 8 in publications with IF,2) authorship or co-authorship of at least 4 peer-reviewed scientific articles on angling, including at least 2 on angling in publications with IF,3) authorship or co-authorship of at least 4 peer-reviewed scientific articles on aquaculture and/or fish biology, including at least 2 on European eel in publications with IF.Additional/optional:1) participation in projects financed from ARiMR (Polish Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture) funds and/or other sources,2) willingness to improve professional qualifications,3) desire for scientific development,4) communication skills,5) good work organization,6) ability to work under time pressure,7) category B driving license.Languages ENGLISH Level GoodResearch Field Agricultural sciences » Zootechnics Years of Research Experience 4 – 10Additional InformationBenefits1) employment contract with an institute established both nationally and internationally;2) interesting and self-developing work at an institute with established scientific pedigree;3) opportunities for professional development, gaining or increasing qualifications;4) stable work environment.Selection processA panel of Institute employees have been appointed for the recruitment and selection process:– prof. dr hab.
