  • Considerable experience in archival research and critical analysis of diverse sources (preferably of occupational district of Krakow)

  • Scientific achievements in the form of domestic and foreign scientific articles

Specific RequirementsDescription of tasksThe person employed as post-doc at the Institute of Slavic Studies will work in the project „Faces of smuggling in the Polish-Slovak borderland between 1918 and 1949”The key tasks will include:

  • Archival research conducted in diverse resources in Polish and foreign central and institutional archives, Polish and foreign local and regional archives and other types of archives
  • The research in selected press titles, an analysis of the existing literature on the subject and a search of internet resources
  • Individual and team-based critical analysis of collected sources and their processing and storage in accordance with the project data management plan
  • Participation in field research
  • Participation in project team meetings
  • Publication of at least two articles (including at least one in English) in highly ranked scientific journals meeting open access criteria
  • Dissemination of research results through active participation (paper presentation) in a domestic or foreign conference
  • Co-administration of the project (formal aspects of the grant for which the Institute of Slavic Studies is in charge)
