My client is looking for a Commercial Business Development Director who will be responsible for leading the company’s business development efforts.

You will be particularly responsible for identifying new market opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the hotel.

The role involves a combination of strategic planning, sales management, and marketing oversight.

The Responsibilities you will have on a daily basis are:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

* Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.
* Identify new market opportunities and assess the viability of potential business initiatives.
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

* Drive sales initiatives to increase company revenue.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Oversee the sales team, setting targets, and ensuring they are met.

Partnership Development:

* Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage partnership agreements.

Marketing and Brand Development:

* Work with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
* Ensure the company’s value proposition is effectively communicated to the target audience.

Financial Oversight:

* Develop and manage budgets for business development initiatives.
* Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.

Leadership and Team Management:

* Lead and mentor the business development team.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Required Skills

Strategic Thinking:

Ability to think long-term and develop comprehensive business strategies.

Sales Acumen:

Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.

Negotiation Skills:

Expertise in negotiating contracts and partnerships.

Market Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics.

Financial Acumen:

Ability to manage budgets and understand financial reports.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
* 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles.
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving revenue growth.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the industry and market dynamics.
