In this role you will build the best in class payment experience for our partners – who range from an individual renting out a room to the largest hotel chains in the world. You will be a critical player to ensure the next phase of growth and transformation. This person will be a key member of the Booking.com Fintech Products Leadership team, accelerating the ‘’connected trip’’ for Booking.com and ensuring partners will have a choice on how and when they would like to get paid. Of course this has incredible complexity given the nature of the travel business and our business model.The Fintech business unit at Booking.com (+900 FTE) a growing start-up and payment company within Booking.com that became a strategic priority and enabler of the company’s mission towards the connected trip. We are one of the top 5 global payment merchants operating with high volume and scale. Fintech plays a vital part in scaling our accommodation business (payments via hotels), flights, insurance, attractions and at the core of delivering the ‘connected trip’ to our customers.With Fintech at Booking.com we ensure that it’s easier for bookers to book, to feel comfortable and safe (globally) and make it easier for partners to work with us as part of their business (and make their business smoother).Creating payment experiences is a big responsibility and a big challenge, but we have a real opportunity to have a true impact on our merchants, solve real challanges and enable them to scale their business with Booking.com. This can vary from paying them on time (or ahead of time) to offering them different payout methods, cross currency travel, local payment methods as well as lowering their operational load, making their onboarding to payments easy and much more. We take our responsibility towards our partners very seriously, and we are looking for someone to come help drive the next phase of growth and innovation. Part of the challenge is also to support the regulatory compliance initiatives that are quite sophisticated, given the scale of our business.For this we are looking for an experienced Global Partner Payments Product Director! As the leader of this critical position you will be a strong people manager with expertise in Product management and ideally Fintech Experience working in B2B environments with businesses of all sizes is a plus.This Partner Payments Product Director will be responsible for setting the vision, strategy, roadmap and execution to build the best in class Partner (Merchant) payment experiences, achieve our main objectives and important metrics and support our internal clients.Responsibilities:This role is located in Amsterdam and leads a team of product managers through 2 layers of management. The role reports to the Senior Director of Product for Fintech.You will also collaborate with the Fintech Leadership team, partnership teams & 3rd party vendors. Your internal collaborators are the accommodations business unit, attractions, flights, insurance and the financial systems teams. Cross functionally you will collaborate with internal accounting, payouts, fraud, risk and payment operations.Have end to end responsibility for the Partner Payments product area, leading the different tracks and product teams to achieve the objectives and critical metrics crafting the outstanding Partner experienceCollaborate closely with technology management and leadership to ensure alignment in strategy, collaboration in teamwork and overall effective use of development resources, including impact and return on investmentLead directly and indirectly the product, UX, Copy, Research, PMM teams and individuals in the area to have an alignment on goals, objectives, ways of working, teamwork to build an optimised organisation that is delivering high quality experiences and solutions to our partnersLead the yearly/semester/quarterly planning and design of initiatives which drive our ABU growth, support the connected trip and strengthen our foundationsLead the collaboration with other tracks in and outside the Fintech department to align on Strategy, Compliance, working e2e flows and moreDrive and lead the strategic direction of the track, also for non product activities, and challenge the direction of other teamsBe part of the extended leadership team of Booking.com and more importantly the FinTech Products teamDrive the success of the business and be responsible for the measurement and delivery of the critical metrics and report on team/ track performance and business impactContribute to the strategic direction of the company and Fintech BUBuild an organisation that systematically and consistently drives strategy and delivers great product experiencesActively contribute to driving product management as a function across the company and Fintech BUContribute to the growth of Booking.com through interviewing, onboarding and other recruitment effortsEmpower people to do their best at Booking.comIdeal Experience & Skills:As the leader of this critical position you will be a strong people manager with expertise in Product management and Fintech.

  • Significant years of product leadership experience, preferably a business to business environment E-commerce sites or marketplace companies.
  • Subject matter expertise in the Fintech industry, market, trends, solutions specifically on the Merchant payments/payout aspect of the industry
  • Experience with leading and coaching senior product managers, product managers and group product managers, through the 2nd layer of management.
  • Affinity and excitement around back end technology challenges related to the product craft.
  • Working across the company with our accommodations business unit, finance and trips business units to agree and negotiate solutions, go to market, and more.
  • Experience and familiarity with building end-to-end experiences in sophisticated environments, marketplace platforms, and programs that have been successfully adopted by the ecosystem
  • Subject matter expertise in Product Management with a consistent track record of building successful innovative and scalable products – vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Ability to have discourse and debate with engineering leadership on key topics.
  • KPIs/objectives setting, ideation and implementation process, team alignment with business goals
  • Experience working with multiple senior collaborators (finance, budgeting, team management, recruitment, external customers)
  • Experience working with product and tech departments and cross functional senior team members
  • Leading through influence with collaborators including executives
  • Skillful use of testing and data to move quickly
