Apply today and join us for a career.The positionAs the Director of Portfolio Insights & Analysis, you will be responsible for leading a team of approx. 7 people. You will report to the VP of Development Portfolio & Project Excellence and be part of the Development PPE leadership team.Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Overall responsible for leading and developing a team of talented individuals including creating development plans, provide feedback and coaching, and fostering a collaborative team culture
  • Provide strategic direction to successfully deliver impactful portfolio management while growing portfolio analysis capabilities to deliver high-quality analysis and insights
  • Support DevTRAIN overall strategy and initiatives by being an active member of the DevPPE LT and DevTRAIN extended LT
  • Provide portfolio insights and recommendations to senior management and governance boards, based on rigorous analysis, modelling, and valuation of the pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the value chain and multiple EVP/SVP areas, ensuring cross-functional alignment and collaboration on portfolio activities and decisions
  • Continuously improve and innovate the portfolio management processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging digital and data-driven solutions

The position will be primarily based in Søborg, Denmark.QualificationsYou have a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field, such as science, engineering, business, or finance, combined with minimum of 10 years of experience in portfolio or investment management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.In addition, you have:

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing and developing teams
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, based on solid quantitative and qualitative skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated track record in collaborating and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders across organisations and cultures
  • Understanding of drug development in general, and of Novo Nordisk’s therapy areas and pipeline in particular
  • Personal drive, autonomy, self-motivating ability, positive and collaborative mind-set, and a passion for making an impact

About the areaThe Development EVP area is responsible for driving innovative clinical drug development and regulatory affairs worldwide from phase 2 to product introduction and through life cycle management. Our area is a staff function to Development Management reporting to the Development Transformation & Insights (DevTRAIN) CVP unit. It consists of professionals and specialists with backgrounds in science, business, and finance.Development Portfolio Insights & Analysis is responsible for driving portfolio management and analysis supporting our two governance boards (with members across Novo Nordisk at EVP and SVP level) and for providing portfolio perspectives ensuring solid governance prioritisation and decision making.
